Discover More Card offers great gas rebate

    July 16, 2008 - Posted in: Rewards

As fuel prices rise, credit cards offering gas rebates, gas rewards, or cash back on gas purchases are looking like a better and better deal. While some credit cards provide specific gas rewards, other rewards cards change their rewards policies from time-to-time. One such card that recently introduced a great gas rebate program is the Discover More Card.

Between July 1 and Sept. 30, 2008, Discover More cardholders will earn 5% cash back on gas and hotels.

Cardholders earn 1% on all other purchases, and 5% in select categories every three months. After the gas/hotel promotion, Discover More cardholders will get 5% back on purchases at grocery stores, restaurants, and movie theaters.

Note that there is a $400 spending max on 5% rewards per promotion period, but cardholders get unlimited 1% cash back on all purchases.
