The Discover® Open Road Card is Arrive Financial’s editor’s pick for gas rewards credit cards because it gives you 5% back on both fill ups and automotive spending such as oil change and other maintenance. Discover® Open Road Card Rebate Formula
With the Discover® Open Road Card, you will earn 5% rebates for all purchases you make on gasoline and car maintenance up to a total of $1,200 in annual spending. Once you exceed $1,200 in annual spending, your rebates will be equivalent to all other purchases.
Rebates on all other purchases are awarded at a rate of 0.25% for annual spending up to $1,500, 0.50% up to $3,000, and 1% for spending over $3,000. There is no limit on how much you can earn, and rebates do not expire.
Discover® Open Road Card Interest Rates and Fees
There is no annual fee associated with the Discover® Open Road Card. The regular interest rate ranges from 10.99% to 18.99% depending on individual card member credit history. Discover uses the two-cycle average daily balance method for computing finance changes.
There is an introductory APR offer with this card of 0% for 12 months on balance transfers and 0% for six month son purchases.
